Steelcorp conducts the most rigorous tests in its Central Laboratory to ensure all products measure up to the highest standards.

The Universal Testing Machine provides highly dependable results for Tensile and Yield Strengths as well as percent elongation of the steel. Strip hardness is monitored through the use of the Rockwell Hardness testers. Laboratory simulation of environment to which GALVABOND, GALVALUME 55™ and pre-painted products are exposed is facilitated using a range of Accelerated Weathering Equipment such as Humidity Cabinet, Salt Spray Tester and QUV tester. Properties of pre-painted products to be produced at the Coil Coating Line can be determined using the Light Box for color matching tests, digital glossmeter for gloss measurements and Colorimeter for color measurement of painted products. These advanced equipment and tools provide added accuracy and reliability in every analytical measurement.

These also serve to determine not just product properties but more importantly, whether there is a need for improvement to meet changing market needs to further improve total customer satisfaction.
