Corrosion Resistance
GALVABOND™ ‘s hot-dip galvanizing process results to a tight adherence to the zinc coating on both sides of the strip, providing protection to cut edges, which are most vulnerable to corrosion.
Formability
The durable zinc coating of GALVABOND™ will not crack or peel during forming and bending operations. GALVABOND™ is an ideal product for the most severe fabrications processes.
Surface Smoothness
At customer's option, GALVABOND™ steel can be skinpassed for an exceptionally smooth surface, and is highly recommended for materials intended to be painted.
Weldability
GALVABOND™ is more suitable for a wide range of welding processes, including electric arc welding; brazing; and the various methods of resistance welding – single spot, projection, indirect spot, multiple-projection, seam and stud welding.
Coating Weights
GALVABOND™ can be produced to different coating weights depending on the required applications ranging from Z100 to Z275 depending on costumer's needs.
